The compilation of ESIA document is not regulated in the applicable legislation in Indonesia. The compilation of such document is usually an initiative of initiator of a business and/or activity plan as an effort to learn more about the impacts towards the environment due to an activity plan to be carried out.
The method of impact determination of an activity plan refers to the guideline, which is published by the initiator of business and/or activity plan, but it generally pays attention to the level of environmental vulnerability and the magnitude of potential impact due to the business and/or activity plan.
