Deloitte<\/a> is giving all of its employees in the UK the ability to choose to work from home<\/a> forever as it embraces flexible working permanently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief executive Richard Houston confirmed on Friday that its 20,000-strong workforce<\/a> will be able to choose when, where and how they work in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The auditing giant, which is one of the \u201cbig four\u201d accounting firms, said the pandemic had accelerated its hybrid working model. Deloitte has allowed extended flexible working since 2014, but less than half its UK workforce worked from home on a regular basis before Covid-19<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move sets it apart from rivals Earnst & Young (EY), KPMG and Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC),  who all want employees to work in their offices for at least two days a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A recent staff survey showed that while 81 per cent of respondents anticipated working from a Deloitte office for up to two days a week in the future, nearly all (96 per cent) of the firm\u2019s employees wanted the freedom to choose how flexibly they will work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
