We as financial institutions recognize that the Earth’s biosphere is the foundation of human resilience and progress and that it is under increasing stress. We are calling
for and commit to take ambitious action on biodiversity.
ABOUT THE PLEDGE
A group of 26 financial Institutions from around the globe launched the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge calling on global leaders and committing to protect and restore biodiversity through their finance activities and investments in the run-up to the Conference of the Parties (COP 15) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in May 2021. The Finance for Biodiversity Pledge was launched during the Nature for Life Hub at 25 September and the Biodiversity Summit of the United Nations General Assembly at 30 September 2020.
